Two heads are better than one
So a new friend and hobby enthusiasts took a spring break tip to the UK and came back with a very nice surprise. Warlord Titan head B. This head can only be purchased at Forgeworld HQ in person (or ebay at greatly inflated prices). I am so thrilled to have received it. I call it the "Cyclon" head, much better than the "Knight" head that comes with the kit. I will be using magnets to make them swappable.
Thanks Todd!

Why pin when you can screw?
Doing some slow construction work on my Warlord. With the amount of weight and pressure that's going to rest on the lower joints I wanted to use a different method to secure the joints. Pins just didn't seem enough. So I used a screw.
I drilled a guide hole and used a routing bit to counter sink the screw. Once the screw was in place I used some JB Wield to fill.
I had to admit that was the most nerve wracking method I've ever used but the screw will provide a more secure join.
Got my inspiration from www.tanksandtrolls.co.uk

Supporting Troops
I also wanted to get a close up of some weathering I did on the feet, toes and lower armor plates.
This look was achieved using Secret Weapon weathering powders. A super product and a perfect effect.

Rubber man can
The rubber band man can. Ode to the rubber band, holding hobbyist crap together since the beginning.

What's in a name?
So I'm still waiting on on last final part to finish my Titan. This waiting has given me a chance to work on some other aspects. Since Forgeworld does nor make a decal sheet for Legio Tempestus I decided to put my iPad to work. I downloaded the Tempestus banner that is from the HH books and with the magic of apps I was able to whip up my Titans banner.
Still to do is huge missing rear, that's the part I'm waiting on. Once that's done I need to do some seal coats and dull coats. Also plan on a base.
I did decide to go with the Greek Titan names and follow a little more of the Greek languages and less of the High-Gothic Latin that we see GW use. After reading the HH books and Titanicus, Legio Tempestus seems to me to be more of a Warrior Monk culture to me so I wanted to separate them a little.

Part of the ship, part of the crew
First let me give a shout out to the Titan owners club blog. A great resource for Titans.
http://titanownersclub.blogspot.com/
Second I want to say after a break I'm back on task. I have been working on the head and crew. It's at this point the Titans name and story start taking shape.
Unlike most naming conventions I went straight for a classical Greek name wanting to break the bonds of Mars.

Here comes the boom!
While I wait for some replacement parts from FW I've moved ahead with some weapon work. In order to make the weapons stand out from the body I incorporated a little more bronze. I also wanted to do the "laser" look. I went with green so it would stand out. I also like the top/bottom checkers on the missile launcher. It fits and looks good.
